OPEN ACCESS PROGRAM
For select procedures, patients who are of general good health may eliminate the initial physician visit and may come directly to our outpatient endoscopy center for their procedure. Those procedures include routine colon cancer screenings, surveillance colonoscopy (previous polyps or cancer) and Barrett’s esophagus screenings (individuals who have experienced GERD or heartburn on a long-term basis).
A nurse visit for preparation instructions may be required prior to your procedure date. Any and all pertinent pre-procedure and instructional material will be delivered to each patient via mail, or during your scheduled visit for preparation instructions to ensure proper preparation and knowledge of the planned procedure. If a patient has any questions or concerns surrounding their procedure and wishes to discuss the procedure in person, they need only to call and request an appointment, of which we are happy to provide.
Those individuals experiencing diabetes, heart disease, or other major medical conditions are required to schedule an office visit with the doctor prior to their procedure to discuss and review their personal health situation. Please do not hesitate to call our offices at the listed numbers with any additional questions or for more detailed information.
